Is this the official WhatsApp Business API?

No. PowerAPI Whatsapp works like WhatsApp Web: you link a regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business number. It's quicker to start and has no per-message fees from Meta, but it is not affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta. For very high volumes of business-initiated messages, Meta's official Cloud API may be a better fit.

Do I need a new phone number?

No. You can link the number you already use. Your phone keeps working normally while it's linked, just like WhatsApp Web.

Can I send images and PDFs?

Yes. Send media from a public URL or upload it as base64, with an optional caption.

How do I receive replies?

Set a webhook URL on your instance. We POST every incoming message to your server as JSON, signed with your webhook secret.
